Character Design is my favourite type of commissions to do.
This was a Circle of Spores druid for @ Tremerewitch at the former bird app. This design is still one of my faves I’ve done!
I included some of my process- in a design commission, the longest part is sketching and developing the ideas. The feedback loop with the client slowly shapes the final product. I try to absorb every bit of info the client delivers, to bring their idea to life- and suggest things that compliment and enhance their ideas.
The target I work at has a skeleton that’s been our mascot. His name is Mr. Bones. We pose him every night.
Then we gave him a jacket and let him fold clothes
And then we let him get a nice drink at Starbucks
Sometimes work can be too hard on him
Everyone, especially our guests, love Mr. Bones and take pictures with/of him. I will keep everyone updated on his adventures
We put him in our Director’s office to scare him when he comes in the morning. For now, Mr. Bones is running the store.

Good news! Even after all this time, Mr. Bones still has a job!
Bad news everyone. 2020 took another Angel. Mr. Bones has been fired and isn’t allowed back in 2020, per my boss. It was fun last year and I’m sure he would have wanted to come back for more fun this year, but I guess Target will have to continue without our bone friend.

So just for an update for everyone! Mr. Bones has a rough end to 2020. Unfortunately, due to an accident, he is no longer with us.
HOWEVER, He will still live on with his triplet children, Mini Bones, Bones Jr, and Bonsette!
After 2 years of BEGGING our bosses to bring him back…. I have exciting news: Mr. Bones is BACK and better than ever and thriving! You CANNOT kill the king!
The anti-mask brain rot is penetrating the hospital system in a terrifying fashion.
Masks are necessary for accessing central lines, and more and more nurses are starting to have issues with wearing a mask during STERILE PROTOCOL.
These lines are going right into our hearts and nurses are throwing tantrums about having to cover up their faces for 5 minutes.
This has not happened at my infusion center personally but I have mutuals and friends who have had to beg their nurses to put on the mask that literally comes in the sterile access kit.
I have a little insight into this. It’s not that nurses are suddenly refusing to wear masks, it’s that a large amount of nurses quit their jobs or fell ill to the point of not being able to work or death due to how poorly the pandemic was handled. The sudden increase of nurses that are not wearing masks? A good portion of them are new recruits, replacing the troves of workers who left the job of their own volition or because of the terrible circumstances. A nursing program can take anywhere from a year and a half to 4 years to complete, so it’s not a coincidence that in 2023 after the pandemic of 2020 these changes are becoming more prevalent.
The job market sucks, and the good pay of a nursing gig looks oh so appealing due to the relative ease of entry for that kind of salary and high demand. I was in a VC with some people recently and one of them was complaining about how he wanted to become a nurse for the pay, but he would have to get a covid shot. Yes, he was outraged that he would need vaccinations to be around sick people as his profession. Do you think his first priority is helping people? No, it’s his own financial security. An important thing for sure, but when people are so focused on self-preservation then a job in caring for others is going to end in tragedy.
Take from that what you will, but if you see a nurse not wearing their mask while treating you, refuse treatment because if they aren’t wearing a mask who knows what other precautions they skipped or how much experience they actually have. Go to the reception desk and file a complaint after your procedure, call them out by name. If the hospital sees that a nurse is being rejected by patients, then their place at that hospital will fall under scrutiny. Remember, healthcare is not necessarily your friend, but any red flag that might lead to a malpractice suit gets the legal department in a frenzy. An infection from an improperly sterilized central line can be traced back to the team that administered your last treatment. Do not be polite, do not pity these nurses, scream for someone outside the room if you have to. They are risking the lives of their patients by doing this, they do not belong in the medical field if they do not even believe in the science they are practicing.

i frequently throw myself down hills for many different reasons including: it just looked fun, was trying silly goofy tricks, i wanted to win (sub-point: tossing myself at someone standing at the top of a hill while playing marco polo and letting myself roll down one to avoid being tagged), and simply being told i wouldn’t do it
my fun fact: i have a birthmark on my back in the shape of New Hampshire—the same state i was born in!
Oh heyyyy that reminds me of a similar fact about me! I also have a birthmark on my back, though it isn’t shaped like anything but a large circle. But when I was born they did ultrasounds on my back because doctors were worried it meant something was wrong with me 😅
I also scarred inside my birthmark by hanging too low from the bottom of a tire swing and scraping my back across the ground…
its really cool that we discovered glass which is the material that doesnt have any chemical reactions with anything in the universe very useful for doing chemistry due to being able to put things in it to contain chemical reactions and never having it react with the things that are in it due to it being completely and entirely unreactive to every chemical
